Voter Registrations due October 14th

For New Registrations and Changes to Existing Registrations

Registered Voters:

Don’t assume you are registered to vote or that your friends or neighbors are properly registered to vote.

Check your voter registration status immediately at the the New York State Board of Elections voter look up page.

In addition to registering to vote, the voter registration form should be used to change your address and to PICK A PARTY as well.

PICK A PARTY!!
Please pick a party, any party!
But pick something.
Split your household and pick different parties.

Unregistered Voters – DO NOT WAIT TO REGISTER!

We need every unregistered voter to register for the election and to actually vote. The single biggest fallacy that people believe in that keeps them from registering is the expectation that you will get jury duty. Jury duty hits many databases including drivers licenses and other government services. So they will get you anyway, so register today!

Absentee Ballots

You may vote by absentee ballot if you will be:

  • Unavoidably absent from your county on election day
  • Unable to appear at the polls due to illness or disability
  • A patient in a veteran’s administration hospital

To get an Absentee Ballot from the Board of Election you must fill out an Absentee Application Form. The form must be mailed in with an original signature (no scans and emails allowed) seven (7) days before the election – NOVEMBER 1st – OR – hand delivered by the day before the election – NOVEMBER 7th.

Upon completion of the absentee ballot application, you can either mail it to the Rockland County Board of Elections or you can bring it in person. Once the BOE is in receipt of your application, a ballot will be mailed to you or it can be picked up by someone that you designate on the form to pick up. For more information please see the BOE webpage for absentee ballots.
